Robert (Ngāpuhi) is a senior lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at AUT University. He graduated with a PhD from the University of Auckland with a thesis exploring criminological theorising, justice policies and Māori. His academic roles include programme leader for the undergraduate programmes in criminology, conflict resolution and social sciences at AUT. His research interests have focussed around Māori social issues, indigenous criminology, and criminal justice policies.
