The research is multi-disciplinary, undertaking a mix of strategic and applied research with public good and Kaupapa Māori foci; we are particularly involved in examining inequities and developing solutions. Growing capacity in Māori communities and in Māori research is a priority area. This underpins the growth and development of Whāriki and our diverse and numerous collaborations with whānau, hapu, iwi and other communities and organisations.
